Hi! I’m Jennifer Elizabeth Durst, the photographer behind Jen Elizabeth Portraits.

Thank you so much for being here and taking a look at my work — it truly means the world to me. A little about me: my husband Anthony and I met in high school and have been married for 25 years. Together, we’ve built a big, love-filled family with eight amazing children and one precious grandson. Family is at the heart of everything I do.

I’ve been working with families and children since becoming a mom myself back in 1999. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — from preschool teacher at Paddington British Private School, to running in-home daycares, to becoming a certified birth doula. I’ve also studied Psychology and Health in college and volunteered at CCCRM Hospital, experiences that deeply shaped the way I care for and connect with families.

I’m also honored to be a volunteer photographer for NILMDTS, a cause very close to my heart. Having personally had four babies in the NICU, I understand how emotional and overwhelming that time can be. Because of this, I proudly offer FREE NICU sessions for families whose babies must remain hospitalized as they prepare to go home.

Photography has been part of my life since high school, and I continued my studies in college. I photographed my first birth in 2015 for my cousin and instantly fell in love with documenting such powerful, life-changing moments. Since then, I’ve photographed dozens of births and expanded into newborn photography — which quickly became one of my greatest joys, along with birthday cake smash sessions.

I work out of a cozy in-home studio and also travel for sessions for a small fee. I specialize in birth, newborn, infant, and children’s photography, as well as maternity, family sessions, sports, and dance photography.
